what i'm really thinking about

gyros and cheese curds, and corn dogs, oh my!
it finally here!
yes, my friends.
our county fair has arrived and although we are not going until tomorrow, i think you know what's on our minds.
tomorrow, we will bask in the fried, greasy goodness{haha} that we come to crave every year.
it's okay to indulge once in a while, right? :)
we will stroll through the barns and gather bags of free goodies from local vendors.
the kids will beg for rides and games and they will be satisfied with a few.
we will don our warmest sweatshirts and socks and be together.
ahhh. the best part. just. be. together.
even if it is crazy.

in order of importance, right?
food, then buildings{minus the ferris wheel}!  :)

i took these pictures last week when we visited another fair for a few hours.
aren't we spoiled?
i coaxed my husband into paying $.50/person  to 'come and see' the baby Zebra, Diesel, inside the carnival tent.
being skeptics, we thought maybe it was a joke like, 'come and see a man eating chicken', and when you go in,  there sits a man eating some bbq chicken or something.
we hesitantly paid our dues and crept in...around the corner, following the shadows.
score!  Diesel the Zebra was real and absolutely terrified to be there!  he was super shy and sweet.
poor thing.
of course, my camera had died by then, so i didn't get a picture.  boooo.
the kids admitted that he was one of their favorite things about that fair{mom and dad were all on board because we got away with spending $3.00}.
did you know that it cost us $10 to play the dart game for TWO children.  oy.  $10!!!
needless to say, that was the only game they got to play.

so, what is your favorite food or activity to do at the fair?
clearly, you know mine.

well, is it obvious that today i will be dreaming of...tomorrow?
{insert 'Tomorrow' from the play Annie, here}.

and, for the record, i don't even like elephant ears, but i thought the stand looked pretty cool! :)

i hope you have a wonderful day today, friends!

A Family Affair

Hey there, ya'll!

It seems like we have been running a lot lately.
And I don't mean for the Couch 2 5K Program.
{although I have completed week three now!  how about you?  it's not too late to start.  you'll feel better, I PROMISE.}
:-)
Let me explain.
Do you ever feel like even though you are constantly busy, you get no where?
Of course you do!
It's that little thing we call life{and the bottomless piles of laundry}.
The balancing act of home and work has been a little tricky for me lately.
My attitude has a lot to do with it, too.
{mine could use a serious adjustment at times}

"Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [therewith] to be content."  Philippians 4:11

Easier said than done, right?

Allow me to rant.
My husband works nights.  UGH.
I know that in everything I am supposed to give thanks, but it tends to get old.
REAL FAST.
We are like two ships that pass in the night.  He goes to work, I go to bed.
I wake up, and he is just laying down.
Poor guy.
I should really be counting my blessings because I get a full nights sleep and he RARELY does.
But I still don't like it.

*sigh*

I won't even go into the tactics I have to use to keep the kids quiet while daddy sleeps!  lol!
Truthfully, I am blessed beyond what I deserve.  I have a hardworking husband who is an amazing father and he would do anything for us.  I love him and I pray that God provides Him with the perfect job that he has for him.  If that means 3rd shift, away from, us, so be it!  God's ways are higher than mine.
{slaps self in face for needlessly complaining}

I'm going to stop complaining now.  :-)
The girls and I had an opportunity to get out today to our local fair and share some of our favorite things with people.

We set up our awesome, safe, proven, products for a few hours with some great friends and froze had a great time!  I can't believe that it's a few days into summer and we needed parkas and wool gloves!
Ridiculous!

Miss Madelyn and I shivering in our shoes smiling all pretty like.

The girls and our wares.

Our kids totally LOVE everything from Shaklee.  That's why we call it a family affair!  They can truly tell what the products and opportunity have done for our family and they are very supportive.  We want them to understand that we are doing this
a} because God put it in our path and said..."GO!'
b} we wanted to create a healthier life for our family
c} we want to help others learn the importance of prevention, nutrition and how it can change their lives for the better.   WAAAAY better!
We are Team Krause and we love sharing this opportunity!   We really want to teach our kids to make wise choices in every aspect of their life.   We can't stress enough that the choices that we make today, will have a direct impact on our future!   We are proud of them for being so supportive of us.

I LOVE this old building on the fair grounds.

Team Krause: girls.

Just being normal.  :-)

What did you do today?
I hope you had a wonderful day!

Blessings,

If you ever have any questions about what Shaklee can do for you, I'd love to chat.
