I smell a rat...

Good day, everyone!
I hope that all of you mothers had
a wonderful day being honored for the blessing that you are to so many!

We had a pretty relaxing day.  We were able to spend some time with my mother and my second mother, too!   I say second mom because the term mother-in-law just doesn't do her justice.  MIL gets a bad rap sometimes, and she is anything but the ideas associated with that name.  I am truly grateful for each of them and the positive impact they have had on my life.  Eternally grateful.

On to my story.

This is me.  Well, not actually me, but what I feel that I look like these days.  A crazy, obsessive, huntress.  Have you ever seen the movie Mouse Hunt?  Unfortunately I have, and it is haunting me this very minute.

I have a little problem.
As I have mentioned before, I am a little OCD.   Yes, ok, maybe a lot.  Anyway.  We have a mouse.  A dead one.  Somewhere.  And it stinks.  REALLY bad.
*enter-panic and gags*
Here is a picture of the little thief.

Have you ever seen Ratatouille?  IRONICALLY, it is one of my favorite animated movies.  I'm not sure why, but maybe I like the fact that my over the top analysis/freak out fits of mice is validated.   My husband tells me I'm crazy, but when I spot even the SLIGHTEST evidence of an unwelcome intruder, my thoughts immediately turn to the scene in this movie when 'Remy' tells his brother 'Emille' that mice don't LEAVE the nest, they make it bigger.  See, I was RIGHT ALL ALONG, honey!  There's ALWAYS more than one.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  Even if my sweet hubby tries to convince me otherwise so that I can sleep at night.  lol

The good news.
The 'good' news about this development is that the big stink is coming from the basement.  At least they respect me enough to stay out of my main territory, right?  I still don't feel better.  To give you another mental image of what I may look like over here...

Yes, I would probably do that.  :-)

Does this gross you out as much as it does me?  Seriously, every time this happens, I go into a crazy frenzy about WIL-KIL pest control and how they are going to be on my speed dial.  Thanks to my level headed husband, I never call because...
A.  I cannot afford such services.
B. My husband hates paying anyone to do anything he can do himself.
C.  Apparently mice don't really bother him.  ???
D.  The smell DOES go away...EVENTUALLY.  {enter my Young Living Essential Oil diffuser to bide my time}

I will NEVER like mice, but I have learned to 'deal'.  I guess.
Excuse me while I go do laundry(in the basement) wearing one of these...

Yes.  It's that bad.  My hubby even gagged a little.
How do you deal with unwanted visitors  intruders?  Please tell me I'm not the only one!!!
Have a great day!!!

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
